Archaia Entertainment (a recent acquisition of BOOM! Studios) has announced they will be partnering with The Jim Henson Company to release an all-new limited comic book series featuring the popular characters of Jim Henson’s Fraggle Rock. The series, titled Fraggle Rock: Journey to the Everspring will follow the lives of the Fraggles as their water supply at Fraggle Rock mysteriously runs dry, causing them to set out on a journey to discover the fabled “Everspring.”
In a press release sent out today from BOOM! Studios, Editor-in-Chief Matt Gagnon said, “It’s so much fun to go to conventions and have people stop at the booth and gasp, ‘That’s Fraggle Rock!’ There are so many fans out there who have grown up loving Wembley, Red, and all of the Fraggles. Jim Henson created something timeless with Fraggle Rock, and with Archaia’s return to single issues going strong with titles like Hacktivist and The Last Broadcast, we thought this was the perfect all-ages title to add to the mix.”
Featuring the creative team of writer Kate Leth (Adventure Time: Seeing Red, Bravest Warriors) and Fraggle Rock veteran artist Jake Myler (Fraggle Rock, Orphan Blade), Fraggle Rock: Journey to the Everspring will follow the Fraggles as they experience brand new adventures that Archaia promises will be a “fun story that new and longtime fans alike can enjoy.”
